Florida is now in the meat of their schedule. Last week was a tough loss to a talented LSU, now the Gators face a Texas A&M team that played No.1 Alabama closer than anyone so far this season. The Gators won by the skin of their teeth over both Tennessee and Kentucky, two teams not expected to do particularly well. Now that the Gators are facing better teams they need to throw a few new glitches into things to try to gain an edge on these more talented teams. A trick play, fake punt or surprise on-side kick could be the difference in a game. Kevin Sumlin is fighting for his job and doing a pretty good job at it. Playing in the Swamp should give Florida the edge but that’s what many thought against LSU. This will be a hard-fought game and probably very close. The Aggies may be at a little mental disadvantage after their near miss against Bama. The same could be said for Florida though. The team that handles adversity the best will win.
Saturday’s game kicks off at 7 pm ET and can be seen on ESPN2.
